SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Three new teams have been added to the lineup for this weekend’s Syracuse International Airshow.
This following the news that the Blue Angels will not be on hand due to a crash that cost a Navy pilot his life.
Capt. Jeff Kuss was killed last week when his plane went down during a practice flight near Nashville, Tennessee.
His team was scheduled to perform at Syracuse Hancock Airport this Saturday and Sunday in front of some 40,000 people.
In the past week, organizers say they have heard from teams across the country, and agreed to bring in three teams to perform.
They include the F/A-18F Super Hornet Tactical Demonstration Team, the Sea Harrier FA-2 and L-39 and the Lima Lima Flight Team.
Gates open to the show at 9 a.m. and the event runs until 5 p.m.
Adults tickets in advance are $15, for children, it is $10.
Tickets will also be available to purchase at the gate
